APCC Tallaght is Ireland’s first Integrated Academic and Primary Care Centre where Healthcare and Academic Services are provided from the same location.
Situated at Tallaght Cross in the heart of Tallaght Town Centre, the APCC brings together local GP Practices, HSE services, Out of Hours Services and Community Pharmacy to provide health and social care services for people of all ages in a single location.
APCC Tallaght also accommodates a research, education and teaching facility operated by the Department of Population Health Medicine, Trinity College Dublin, enabling TCD to collaborate with the healthcare professionals and local community organisations on interdisciplinary projects.
APCC Tallaght is located in a modern, spacious building which has been acquired and specifically fitted out by Talacare for the academic and healthcare service providers. The building is easily accessible by the Luas Red Line and local public transport with ample car parking facilities on site. It is located close to the Luas terminus and is adjacent to Tallaght Hospital and the National Ambulance Centre.
The Academic and Primary Care Centre at Tallaght Cross successfully demonstrates how privately funded investment can significantly expand and enhance public health and social care and academic facilities.
